Commitment is a MUSCLE. Commitment asks us that we all dig just a little deeper and fix our eyes on our long term goal and what it might take to get there. Well for ANY and ALL long term goals, commitment is mandatory for success. It is what keeps us moving beyond our emotions. It takes us beyond being "motivated" and into being consistent. Commitment does NOT depend on our circumstance, how our day went, how we might be "feeling" that day. Commitment depends on us. It builds character and it depends on our character. It calls us to remain focused on why we do something and centers our focus on our goals.  It calls us to be stronger than a circumstance and stronger than an emotion. Commitment sometimes calls us to be uncomfortable for a minute. It really is a muscle we MUST exercise. Commitment is a choice, a daily, intentional, sometimes difficult choice. But, it brings RESULTS! If you stay committed to a "thing" long enough to see the results, you will reap the benefits of pushing through the emotion, through the bad day, through the "just don't feel like it". So. No matter what you are choosing to commit to this next week, next 6 weeks, next year or next lifetime, you have that daily choice. Do it. Daily. Exercise that muscle. It will pay off. It will be worth it. You will be uncomfortable and maybe throw a little fit sometimes. But I'm encouraging you to push through. Let's figure out what you are looking for in your fitness goals and commit!
